My relationship with Refait Toit has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I want to share my experience in order to inform other consumers and prevent them from encountering the same problems.Communication with Refait Toit was difficult from the start. When ordering, they were unable to provide a specific installation date, which made planning our schedule difficult.On the day of the roof installation, they arrived without notice, disrupting our long-planned travel plans. We had to cancel our trip, which cost us financially in hotel costs, transportation and resold show tickets.Two months after installation, water leaks appeared around the chimney, causing damage to the interior of our home. Despite six subsequent visits from Refait Toit, the problem still persists today and during these visits, they give barely 12 hours' notice, so you have to miss work. They come back with silicone tubes or pieces of sheet metal to install on top. Independent experts confirmed that the source of the leaks came from the roof, and not the chimney as initially claimed by Refait Toit.Instead of resolving the problem properly, Refait Toit attempted to patch it several times, without success. In addition, the quality of the work leaves something to be desired, with dents in the sheet metal and poorly applied silicone seals on the descent at the back of our home (another dissatisfaction).Despite a formal notice and an inspection report, paid at our expense, which confirms that the water leak problem comes from the roof, Refait Toit did not meet our expectations and did not provide us with a satisfactory solution. Their inability to schedule an appointment to resolve the issue demonstrates their lack of professionalism and commitment to their clients.I strongly recommend that anyone avoid doing business with Refait Toit. Their lack of competence, communication and integrity is unacceptable. After spending 20K on roofing work, I am left with a roof that still leaks. Not only did they fail to resolve the problem, but they also ignored their own warranty, refusing to take responsibility and find a satisfactory solution. Instead of facing the problem, they chose to avoid me and run away from the situation. That's 20K thrown in the trash and an extremely disappointing experience.Share this experience to educate others and avoid similar disappointments.

5 negative points - d or 1/51:/ bad study at the start, the price went from 40K to 75K in the middle of the work, not fun, whatever the reason.2:/ old century-old building, not simple. But we would have liked to have been better advised, to have photos about insulation, to better understand the risks during the winter. Not fun the water damage we had in the middle of winter due to ice forming on the roof. When you pay 70K you hope to have peace of mind afterwards. We had a terrible winter mopping up water from tenants and breaking ice on the new roof. Very bad feeling. Even if we understand that it is not related to the roof. That said, we had fewer problems before when there were several layers of roof. So bad advice, we are not roof experts3:/ Their company became a hacker, we received spoofing emails, we called them to find out if it was normal to pay an extra 10K, they told us that it was not them but a hacker. We would have liked to receive a warning if he was already aware. Warn your customers next time. It's the minimum. You are not the one who will pay the loss of 10K if we transfer to the wrong bank account.4:/ At the end of the work, all the old sheet metal remains in the parking lot. We must call them and refuse payment if the clean up is not done. They came to clean, thank you. Too bad we have to force ourselves. Or at least ask us if we want to keep the old sheet, instead of telling us to pay.5:/ Following the terrible winter and water damage we had, they offered to install the heating wire free of charge, for the service. Nice. But after 2-3 reminders, it was not done. We had to do it ourselves just before winter. Again, bad feeling, it doesn't changeSo bad rating. Too bad because perhaps the technical job was well done, who knows. The rating is the service. Or maybe it's the year of covid and we're just a number on their listWe won't do business with them again

Very easy to do business with Jonathan and Melissa, always got quick answers. Jonathan did a detailed evaluation before giving his quote, all work was done fast but in good quality, the team cleaned up well before leaving. Very friendly and courteous.

I tried making an appointment, apparently a misunderstanding, they did not get my last message. I reattempted making an appointment with confirmation and no show. Reached out to the company, was told mechanical issues and cell phone battery had died. I have decided to go with another company.
