The Marc-Aurèle, residence for the elderly (RPA) is the place where all elderly people are treated with care, respect and diligence. I consider this RPA to be clearly superior to all the others that we visited in the entire Quebec region and surrounding areas. A visit will convince you.
We used the convalescence service after my father's hospitalization. The room does not have any adapted equipment (no shower bench, adapted toilet seat/bench, no adapted bed, no bed rail/bed helper) in short it is a standard room/hotel . Attendants do not have the training required to help people get up and get back up in the event of a fall. The shower flooded the entire bathroom up to the toilet seat and the water on the entire floor was not mopped up all day, which posed an increased risk when my father went to the bathroom during the day. Marc Aurele's suggestion to correct the situation was to stop taking showers! In short, do not recommend since in my opinion it is not a place for convalescence unless you do not need help which is rare when you are convalescing.Positive point: Meals are good, employees friendly and helpful, beautiful place.
